Chris Pak, Ph.D.

Dr. Chris Pak is a co-founder, President and CEO of Molecular Targeting Technologies, Inc. (MTTI), a U.S. based Biotechnology Company focused on developing novel imaging products as well as potent vaccines. He was previously employed by Centocor, a top-tier Biopharmaceutical company, where he focused on the research and development of novel products for unmet medical needs. He is the co-founder and former Chairman of the Chinese Entrepreneur Association and the former Vice Chairman of the Global Monte Jade Science and Technology Association, organizations responsible for promoting entrepreneurship. Dr. Pak currently holds 10 patents in diagnostic imaging and therapy and has published over 50 articles relating to the use of antibodies for cancer and cardiovascular disease. He was recently awarded by the State University of N.Y. for the Honor Roll of Alumni, the Ben Franklin for the Emerging Business Award and the Asian Chamber of Commerce for the Outstanding Asian American Business Award.

Andrew P. Ho, M.D.

Andrew is a psychiatrist and leads Merck neuroscience late-stage Phase II and III projects. Prior to joining Merck, Andrew was the founder and CEO of Medgistics, a software-as-sevice company that specializes in building and hosting highly configurable, secure web-enabled medical and research information systems. The lead product, Open Infrastructure for Outcomes (OIO), is currently being used in regional practice management, medical records, clinical research, and eCommerce applications. Andrew received his M.D. from the University of California, San Diego and after residency in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at UCSD, he completed a schizophrenia research fellowship at UCLA. He has been Associate Professor at UCLA in the areas of medical informatics, database security, schizophrenia, and substance addiction treatment. Other areas of research include major depresison, sleep, and functional brain imaging.

Tony W. Ho, M.D.

Tony is the clinical lead for Migraine, pain, stroke and neurodegeneration. He is also Project Development Team Leader for telcagepant (MK-0974, a Phase 3 investigational compound for acute migraine) and MK-0724 (Ono-2506, for acute stroke). Prior to joining Merck, Tony was the co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Neuronyx, Inc., a start-up company that developed a novel population of human adult bone marrow-derive somatic cells (hABM-SC). The lead product candidate NX-CP105 is currently being tested in a Phase 1 trial. Tony completed his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles and received his M.D. from Johns Hopkins University. After an internship in Internal Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital, he completed his residency and a Neurophysiology Fellowship in the Department of Neurology at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. He was Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins in the areas of neuropathy and neuromuscular diseases. He was involved in the initial description and elucidation the pathogenesis of a new form of Guillain-Barre syndrome called "acute motor axonal neuropathy (AMAN)". Other areas of research includes Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Epilepsy, and Movement Disorders/Parkinson's disease. He is currently adjunct Associate Professor of Neurology at University of Pennyslvania and Assistant Professor (Part time) of Neurology at Johns Hopkins University.

Tsang-Bin Tzeng is the Senior Director, Clinical Pharmacology at AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical. Prior to joining AstraZeneca he worked as an independent consultant, as a university faculty at School of Pharmacy, Temple University, and as a senior scientist at Drug Metabolism, Abbott Laboratory. He established and ran a Phase I clinical pharmacology unit in Florida and was involved in funding a clinical research organization in Taiwan. He received his BS in Pharmacy from Taipei Medical University, MS in Pharmaceutics from National Taiwan University, and PhD in Pharmaceutics from State University of New York at Buffalo. He was a member of the Committee of Policy Group of Transition Team for New Jersey Governor-Elect Jon Corzine during his transitional period. He is now an Adjunct Associate Professor at Rutgers University and Advisory Council for School of Nurse, UMDNJ. Currently, he serves as a board director for Educational Opportunity Fund, New Jersey Government, for Chinese Institute of Engineers-USA. Also, he is the President-elect of SAPA-Great Philadelphia and Executive Council for SAPA-Headquarter. He was in the editorial board of Journal of Chromatography for several years.

Gean Chu

Gean Chu is the Program Director of National University of Singapore Overseas College at Silicon Valley (NCSV), California where she plays a key role in strategizing and planning the directions for NCSV. Gean is responsible for the day to day operation, overall administrative, financial, event management and marketing for the NCSV program. Her main role also includes sourcing of internship companies for the students, liaising with partner university – Stanford University, managing and facilitating further development of the program as well as establishing research collaborations and partnerships with companies, universities and other organizations at the bay area. Gean was previously the Program Director of the College in Bio Valley, Philadelphia where she had the honor and opportunities to co-organize and participate in most of the Monte Jade’s events. Gean formerly served as a board member at the Entrepreneurs’ Forum of Greater Philadelphia (EFGP) and she is currently the board member of Monte Jade Science and Technology Association of Mid-Atlantic States (MJMA) as well as the advisor for the students’ communities called Singapore-Philadelphia Innovators Network (SPIN) and NUS Entrepreneurs Association (NUSEA) based in Silicon Valley.
